Minutes of Executive Committee Meeting
The Executive Committee met at 11:00 AM in preparation for the general meeting at noon. Present were: Dennis & Michele Simpson, Dennis & Glena Gorley, Trever Waltos, Ron & Marcie Kearns, Jerry & Tracey Galland, Gene Sanders, and Dale Scott.
Dennis S. shared a sample of a lightweight jacket he’s had made with the NORPAC logo. We were impressed with the jacket and agreed to make them available for order by the membership for the price of $35.00.
Trever shared that it’s time to renew our website and the price for that is approx. $134.00. All agreed that we need to do that.
Michele shared photos of a sleigh that’ was given to Ron. It is currently being stored at Dennis S.’s house. We discussed the need to repaint it and fix it up a little bit. Will discuss with the general membership.
We discussed the Tacoma Rainiers ballgame which the NORPAC group will be attending on July 26th. Dennis G. said we have 50 tickets and can get more if needed. The cost is $11.50/ticket.
Trever confirmed that Santa Gordon Bailey will be offering his class in the Tacoma area this summer on July 24-25. The class is called “Santa and the Business of Being Santa.” It will be held at New Hope Community Church of the Nazarene in Lakewood. Trever’s put a link a link to Santa Gordon’s workshop on NORPAC’s website.
We had considerable discussion about whether to hold a conference or not this year, since the Great Wolf Lodge is not making the rooms available to us at the discounted rate we’ve previously enjoyed. We decided to suggest several options to the membership and get a sense of what they may prefer.
The meeting concluded at approximately 12:00 and moved directly into the general membership session.
