Minutes of Executive Board Meeting:
The exec. board met at 11:00 AM. Present were Randy Cook, Jerry Galland, Dennis Gorley, Ron Kearns, Gene Sanders, Dale Scott, Dennis Simpson, and Trever Waltos.
Conference. Discussion centered on the tentative agenda which Dennis S. had printed for the 7th Annual Northwest Santa Conference to take place Nov. 3-5, 2016, at the Great Wolf Lodge. Several minor changes to the program were suggested. Ron will not be leading the morning devotional sessions this year. We are in need a volunteer (or 2?) to lead this if we want to continue with this activity.
Sleigh. Randy updated us on the status of the NORPAC sleigh. It still needs sanding, another coat of primer, and painting. He also expects a bid soon for the cost of the upholstering. Randy plans to send out an e-mail in a few days which we hope will result in a work party to continue the needed work on the sleigh.
Barbara Colburn has been invited by Trever to attend our meeting in August to tell us about Mary Bridge Hospital’s “Festival of Trees” fundraiser. She’ll also be hoping to line up a Santa to help with this event.
The New Day TV Program. Dennis S. has secured 6 seats in the audience for this Seattle TV program on Tues. morning, July 26th. Several volunteered to attend. Besides providing good exposure for NORPAC, Dennis hopes we’ll have the opportunity to encourage viewers to book early and not wait until the last minute to try to secure a Santa for their Christmas events.
Clothing Possibilities. Ron shared a catalog he’s received which contains a variety of larger sized apparel items in which some of our members may be interested.
