Today Gene Sanders proposed the following motion by e-mail to the other members of NORPAC’s Executive Board:
I PROPOSE THAT NORPAC SANTAS DONATE $1000 TO THE FOLKS WHO WERE HIT BY THE RECENT TORNADO IN PORT ORCHARD.
Motion 2nded by Dennis Gorley.
Gene further explained that according to Dennis Simpson, donations can be made to the Red Cross, the United Way of Kitsap County, or the South Kitsap Helpline. Another funding source has agreed to match the first $10,000 donated to the United Way for this purpose. Jerry Galland amended the motion to specify that NORPAC’s donation be made to the United Way of Kitsap County. Dennis Simpson, Trever Waltos, Randy Cook, and Dale Scott joined the others in voting “Yes.” The motion, as amended, passed unanimously.
